Welcome to the CPS251 Android Studio Book

In order to be successful in this course, you are expected to do the book examples. If you don't then you will not fully understand the material. Also, take notes on what you don't understand and ask those questions in class.

There are a lot of examples in the book. I have the complete examples to look at or download located on my GitHub repository.

Change Log

Android Studio constantly updates and because of this I created this change log page to address the changes that may affect us.

Show All Chapters

The show all chapters link will output all the book chapters as one long webpage. You can use the browser search option (ctr-f for chrome) to search for key works throughout the entire book (website). For instance if you want to read about the 'companion object' just open the browser search and enter 'compainion object' and you will be able to every place the words 'compaion object' are used.

Table of Contents

This page will list all chapters, with chapter titles and linked list of all the topics for each chapter. The topics are linked to their corresponding area, which will appear when clicked

Individual Chapters

Clicking on the chapter will allow you to see the chapter topics, Click on a topic to see the information

Responseness

This book is responsive so if yo are on a phone, the side menu will be replaced with a hamburger symbol (three lines horizontally). Clicking on the hamburger symbol will cause the side menu to appear. That bein said this book is best viewed on a desktop or tablet.
